At SnapPurge, your digital privacy is our absolute priority. This policy outlines how SnapPurge handles information when you use our mobile application.

1. Zero Image Collection & Local On-Device Processing

SnapPurge operates strictly on your device CPU. When the application accesses your device's images (via Android's READ_MEDIA_IMAGES permission):

All photo analysis, screenshot identification, duplicate hashing, and categorization are performed 100% locally on your phone.
None of your photos, screenshots, files, or metadata are ever uploaded to any cloud server, third-party database, or remote service.
Permanent file deletion only occurs upon your explicit confirmation using Android's native system dialog.

2. Advertising & Analytics (Google AdMob)

To support ongoing development while keeping the app free, SnapPurge uses Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) to display native, banner, and interstitial advertisements.

Google AdMob may collect and process pseudonymous information in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy, including:

Device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID / GAID).
General app usage diagnostics, performance metrics, and crash reporting.
Coarse geographic location derived from IP address for regional ad mediation.

3. Permissions Used

READ_MEDIA_IMAGES: Required strictly to read your local gallery to present recent screenshots for triage and cleanup.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Required to send the optional local evening habit hook reminder ("Nightly Sweep") and temporary vault expiration alerts.
INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required solely by Google AdMob to fetch advertisements.

4. Children's Privacy

SnapPurge does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children.
